Pero tenemos este tesoro … But we have this treasure… 1 No ratings yet.

(2 Corintios 4: 3-7 RV)

But we have this treasure…

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
(2 Corinthians 4:3-7 KJV)

“…God isn’t answering so we fuss…” wrote Linda Gleason. 1 5/5 (1)

Recently my husband and I accompanied my daughter and her family on a trip to Disneyland. Mid-afternoon on the second day in the park, our five year old grandson caught a glimpse of the cotton candy display and begged for a bag. We promised he could get it – after supper! That wasn’t good enough. Everything was bad. Who cared about fun rides, bands on the street, treehouses, Disney characters…he couldn’t have his cotton candy right now and nothing else mattered. The fact that his mom and dad spent a fair amount of money to take him there on an
airplane to a lovely hotel didn’t count if he couldn’t have
the cotton candy right now!

I was reminded how we sometimes are guilty of the same unthankful attitudes when we don’t get our petitions answered when and how we ask. Forget the blessings that surround us daily. God isn’t answering so we fuss. How careful we need to be to avoid one of the sins of the end time – unthankfulness! “For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;” (II Timothy 3:2-4). Let thankfulness become a part of our daily words and meditation!

for forgiveness for the times when we have been caught with an unthankful spirit.for a thankful attitude because the blessings of the Lord are heaped upon us daily and we need to practice dwelling on the good things.that we can be an influence on those around us. That people will be motivated to thankfulness by our lives and actions.that God will help us to be patient in the times when our prayers seem to go unanswered. He alone knows the future and what is best for us.that we can live Proverbs 3:5-6 so that peace rather than frustration will reign in our hearts!

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God. 3 5/5 (1)

No Godly thing dwells in our flesh. Our flesh need a denial trial. We do not owe our flesh any respect. God resist selfish pride and the sins of the flesh. We cannot be led by the Spirit and walk in the flesh.

Offenses will come. But there can be no offenses in Church if we refuse to listen to the flesh. If we are not willing to change while in Church and serving God, we will change our environment by leaving Church in some cases.

The Spirit of God (the Comforter) is what will comfort us when we will kill the flesh. We are not to go through the motions of doing Spiritual things when we are not in the Spirit. And the Holy Ghost working inside of us will never agree with our flesh.

We cannot get out of the purpose of God and have everything working for our good or perfect purpose. It’s not so much about what we are going through but about who we are with while going through that. So we are to be careful about making Spiritual decisions while in the flesh. Because God will not be in that. (ARC Sunday Service August 6, 2017 with Pastor John Edwards)

And the Bible says…
“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered” Romans 8:26 KJV.

“And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God” Romans 8:27 KJV.

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose”
Romans 8:28 KJV.
