Sharing Jesus by Debbie Sanders 1 5/5 (1)

We are called to be witnesses. We are the “advertisement of the church,” so to speak. Because we live a life of holiness, the way we dress stands out in the world. If we live according to the principles of the Word of God, we will look different, act different, and even talk different; therefore, our lives become a “sermon” to others, showcasing the principles that we follow.
Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men. 2 Cor 3:2
The Message Bible says, “Your very lives are a letter that anyone can read by just looking at you.”

The wonderful thing about this type of “lifestyle evangelism,” is that we will touch people that may never visit our church on their own. But when we can take Jesus to the street, then the effect is even more far reaching.

How do we engage others in a conversation about Jesus? It may begin with a simple smile, or “hello.” When asked how we are doing, a response of, “I’m blessed,” may open a door to explain why. A question of, “Why do you dress so differently than everyone else,” when responding with “I think it’s pretty important to God how I dress,” will most likely lead to further questions peaked by curiosity, and thus open the door to witness.

Or you could be like Hunter in Iowa who sparked interest in her boss, when she wore our TCG pin that states, “Let me tell ya’ll about my Jesus.” Hunter’s boss was so impressed with this statement of her faith, that she had to know more about it.

There are many great accessories available that will help you proclaim your Jesus to the world. The key is to connect with God before you connect with people, as stated by Kimberly Sciscoe in her book, “The Busy Woman’s Guide to Soulwinning.”
So, after you pray and ask God to lead you to hungry souls, then watch for the opportunities that God begins to open up for you.

Acts 1:8, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses.”

Club Meeting Idea:Take your meeting to a Mall. Pair the girls up, then ask them to do surveys in the mall, such as, “Excuse me, Sir. We are with Todays Christian Girl. Could I ask, if you had to choose, what would you pick, pepperoni pizza or cheese?” Another group may ask, “What would you say is your favorite, Starbucks or Jamba Juice?”

The group that completes the most surveys gets a Starbucks gift card. In this fun way, our girls will see how easy it is to talk to others. With tools you give them, they will feel more confident to talk to others about God.

Do you know what the Bible says about Jesus and how to be saved? 1 5/5 (1)

The Bible says Jesus is God in the flesh. Read 1 Timothy 3 verse 16 KJV that says: “…great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” In Luke 7 verses 48-49 (KJV) we read “And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven. And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?” So we know only God can forgive our sins and Jesus forgave the sins of those he met while he was on Earth because he is God seen in human flesh. God is One God (not 3 persons in one) from the Old Testament to the New Testament. The Bible says in the Book of Isaiah 43 verse 10 (KJV) “Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.”

How to be saved from sins and received Eternal Life was taught, preached and practiced by the Apostles at Acts 2 verse 38 when Peter said: “…Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” So Peter knew what Jesus meant when Jesus spoke the words at Matthew 28 verse 19 and commanded the Apostles. The name from “in the name of” is Jesus Christ. And no where in the Bible was anyone baptized according to Matthew 28 verse 19 as mentioned. Why? Because Peter knew the correct understanding of that is Acts 2 verse 38 and many people in the Bible were baptized that way. Read also Acts 2 verse 36, Acts 8 verse 16, Acts 10 verse 48 and Acts 19 verse 5 in the Bible. And there is no infant baptism recorded or taught in the New Testament. Jesus and the Bible also said we must be born of water and the Spirit to receive Salvation and Eternal Life from John 3 verse 5 in the Bible. So were are to seek and receive the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit) to be chosen Saints of God Almighty. Read Romans 8 verse 9 in the Bible.

I am… 1 5/5 (1)

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,

Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;

And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

Falling in Love with Jesus by Debby Sanford Like 4/5 (1)

“Falling in love with Jesus,
Falling in love with Jesus,
Falling in love with Jesus,
Is the best thing I’ve ever, ever done.”
(lyrics by Jonathon Butler)

Falling in love with Jesus is the answer to many struggles we often face in our lives. When we truly fall in love with Him, He becomes the focus of everything we do.

When I fell in love with my husband, he became the person I most want to spend time with. He is the first one I want to share important news with. His is the opinion I most value, and he is the one I run to when I need advice or comfort from the stresses of my day.

When we fall in love with Jesus, we seek to commune and spend time with Him. Prayer is not a burden, but a privilege and an honor as we come into the presence of the One our soul loves and longs for. “As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?” (Psalm 42:1-2). When we truly love Him, prayer is no longer something we must work in to our day – just one more commitment on our to-do list that we hurriedly work through. It becomes the highlight of our day – even an attitude and a mindset that we carry with us all day long.

When we fall in love with Jesus, His opinions matter most to us. We seek to please Him in our lifestyle choices. It is not a burden to allow our lives to reflect the precepts in His word. “When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek” (Psalm 27:8). When we love Him, our obedience to His Word will truly come from our hearts.

When we fall in love with Jesus, we have a direct connection to a strength and a power like none other. “I will love thee, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.” (Psalm 18:1-3).

We want to share this love and this power with others – especially our children. As we pray for them, let us make sure we are modeling how falling in love with Jesus affects our daily lives. Let them see the excitement, the peace, the strength, and the joy that comes from truly loving Him. Let them know that without a doubt, “Falling in love with Jesus is the best thing I’ve ever done.”

Note: Debby is a pastor’s wife, mom, grandma, Ladies Ministries president, teacher, and many other things. She is currently involved in the adventure of a lifetime as she and her husband, Reverend Dale Sanford, plant a church in Clayton, New Mexico.

One With God the Lord Most High
Your hidden glory in creation
Now revealed in You our Christ

The Name of Jesus Christ my King

What a beautiful Name it is
Nothing compares to this
What a beautiful Name it is

You didn’t want heaven without us
So Jesus, You brought heaven down
My sin was great, Your love was greater
What could separate us now

What a wonderful Name it is
What a wonderful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King

Death could not hold You, the veil tore before You
You silenced the boast, of sin and grave
The heavens are roaring, the praise of Your glory
For You are raised to life again

You have no rival, You have no equal
Now and forever, God You reign
Yours is the Kingdom, Yours is the glory
Yours is the Name, above all names

What a powerful Name it is
What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King

What a powerful Name it is
Nothing can stand against
What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus

You have no rival, You have no equal
Now and forever, God You reign
Yours is the Kingdom, Yours is the glory
Yours is the Name, above all names

What a powerful Name it is
