“In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.”
Every time we go on vacation to the mountains, we eagerly see that the mountains are still there – beautiful, standing tall, solid, and immovable. I draw strength and peace from being in the mountains.
I find it relaxing to listen to nature sounds and the waters rushing over the rocks as they flows down the mountainside to the stream below. The mountains have withstood the beating rains and floods and survived the scorching fires. With new growth, they are as fresh and as beautiful as ever.
God compares Himself to a mountain or rock. They are strong, unchanging, and immovable. So is He. To be like Him I too can be strong, dependable, steadfast, and strong for others. For His strength is perfect!
We live in uncertain times with our lives and routines going through some drastic changes. We can be assured God changes not. Our lives are in His hands. He has a plan.
Hold fast, stay strong. He is our rock!
“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth” (Psalm 121:1-2).
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him” (Psalm 28:7).
