To pray without ceasing is so right. 2 4.8/5 (5)

All TYJSite Says

Our Bible says “Pray without ceasing” at 1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV. And just last week a visiting Preacher at our local Church (Rev Aaron Wright) preached, among other things, about the fact that the Church (i.e. Saints of God) cannot take a day off from praying, and in effect, serving/worshiping God.

Then just this week Tuesday (Feb 4, 2020) at our weekly Church Prayer Time, we heard that one of our sister member of the Fellowship Body is in the ICU at a Philly Hospital. As expected, the Church started to pray with others who heard the news before or knew earlier that day. Then I remember what Bro Wright said: the Church cannot take a day off.

Then I remembered another sister who hurt her back so bad she required surgery to help fixed that. Bless God for the doctors. Nevertheless, I believe it was the Church consistent prayers that made the real substance and difference. Because there are others, even with surgery, who have not really recovered from a really bad back problem. And I remembered others within the Church Fellowship Body and outside of the Church as Saints families/relatives or just Church Visitors that we prayed for and God answered to do what we cannot do for them.

In fact, just recently we heard the “testimony” about a daughter of our Church Member who is now free from cancer after the Church (as a collective Body/Group) went on without ceasing to pray for her.

The point of all of this is that God gave his modern day Apostolic Church the unique and blessed power to pray, and he will do the rest. Because Luke 1:37 KJV says “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” So we pray one for the other, and for others…in Jesus Name. It’s all about God and his Power to do what we cannot do.
