“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:11).

Christ…mas begins with Christ! Christ is the Beginning and the Ending; the Alpha and Omega! Christ…mas, the annual holiday that commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ and celebrated by many on December 25, is quickly approaching. This event will bring a vast array of emotions among humanity. For some people, it will bring simplistic joy in the essence of its true meaning and a special occasion with family and friends. For others, it will highlight moments of despair and sadness due to a former loss or trauma or perhaps past or current negating circumstances. Yet among both conditions are those who will experience mixed emotions due to their unique encounters in life. However, “we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28).

As we, as well as others, journey through life’s experiences, we have a Savior Jesus Christ who was born into this world for a special reason according to a divine will and purpose. God has a purpose in all things in life, and that which He has started from birth shall be completed. In all things we can celebrate Christ in the good times and bad times, in successes and sufferings, because even in this season…Christ should be the center of Christmas. In all seasons, Christ should be the center of life. But He is not only the center, He is also the Beginning, so let Christ “begin” to minister to every need in your life…for truly, Christ…mas begins with Christ!

Pray:
requests that are answered based on what Christ desires to accomplish upon this earth in the lives of people (I John 5:14-15).
that people everywhere will draw closer to Christ during this holiday season as they acknowledge His birth (James 4:8).
that Christ would comfort those who are depressed or oppressed and experiencing hardships in any aspect: spiritually, economically, physically, etc. Pray needs are supplied (Philippians 4:19).
that Christ brings greater love and unity, in the context of healthy relationships within families, and people in general. Pray that God would heal the broken-hearted and even mend broken relationships among those that need reconciliation (Luke 4:18).
that Christ would be the sole center of family households. Pray for strong family units that are built on the foundation of Christ (Luke 6:48).
that great salvation come among souls, to help fulfill part of the great purpose in which Jesus came…”For He came to seek and save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10).
that Christ is magnificently glorified in the highest, and that souls worldwide will truly celebrate the true meaning of Christ…mas in a Biblical context (Luke 2:14).
